Matěj is a father of two, raising Lilly (6) and Lucas (3) together with his wife Larissa. Their days are filled with travel, sport, and simple moments that bring everyone closer together.
In this edition of A Wildride With, Matěj shares the joys and challenges of raising children, how the Wildride became woven into their days, and the words he would offer to new parents.
Tell us something about your hobbies, what you do with the kids, or your daily moments
Traveling is an inseparable part of our family hobbies, and the Wildride is always a must-have. If it ever happens that we forget it, our trips are often filled with sore feet and sad faces. We also love sports, especially tennis and football, and we try to encourage our children to enjoy them too. In the winter, we like to go skiing together or take winter hikes in the mountains. To make sure we don’t come across as too active, we also enjoy cozy movie or game days on the couch with fun family activities.
What was your Wildride?
In 2022, we bought our first Wildride in the Netherlands thanks to my wife, Larissa. We travel regularly to the Netherlands to visit her family, and the Wildride seemed like a fantastic product that could solve many challenges at once. We were so impressed with it that Larissa reached out to the creators and became their first distributor. Since then, Wildride has grown into a global brand, and we are proud to be part of that journey. In the short time that we’ve been active in the Czech-Slovak market, we’ve already had thousands of happy customers, and every day more parents are discovering a whole new world of traveling with their children.
What’s one thing you always carry with you since becoming a parent?
Since becoming parents, many essential things have entered our lives that once hardly mattered. What we can’t go without, no matter what, is definitely the phone. I used to hardly use my phone and only had it to communicate with those around me, but nowadays it always has to be ready so we can capture every moment. With children, even something very ordinary quickly turns into a great adventure.
If you could give one piece of advice to a new parent, what would it be?
Enjoy every moment with your child before they grow up. With children, you see most clearly how quickly time flies: before you know it, your little one is walking and talking, and suddenly they’re heading off to school, leaving you wondering how it all happened so fast. Then come the first crushes, and before you know it…

It reshapes how you see the ordinary, how you treasure the small moments, and how quickly time slips through your fingers. Matěj reminded us that being present has less to do with doing something right, and more to do with paying attention when it counts. Often, it’s the unnoticed moments where connection quietly unfolds. And when you look back, those are often the ones that stay.
